Movement Analysis and Education
In my movement education work, I incorporate many modalites including Laban Movement Analysis (LMA) to help me observe and describe movement, and Body Mind Centering® (BMC) to help me evaluate your strengths and weaknesses in the developmental patterns and imagery to help you find internal space. Then through dance, yoga, LMA and BMC activities I provide you with movement tasks and actions that you can do on your own to help achieve your movement goals. Ultimately, movement education involves identifying what you are currently doing, what your strengths are and finding ways to support you in achieving your personal physical goals.
Sessions are generally one hour in length and may incorporate movement, hands–on facilitation, and guided imagery. A series of sessions can help you reduce pain, gain insight into postural patterns, practice efficient movement patterns and increase a general sense of wholeness and well-being.
